Greenbriar - Reading Room Design
If you've been following my recent projects, you'll see a lot has been happening with the Greenbriar Space Planning & Visualization project! I still need to post about our work in the kitchen, but as I mentioned in the post about the dining room, the homeowners have decided to close off the butler's pantry that had connected the kitchen to the dining room and move the dining room to the existing living room.
That left the area where the dining room had formerly been up for reimagination. The homeowners already have two traditional office spaces - one off the living room and one envisioned in the upcoming basement remodel. A study for the kids or a game room? Also envisioned in the basement. Suddenly it dawned on us. The client is a "bookstagrammer" - an Instagram influencer focused on books! - so what better way to use the space than a bookstagrammer office / home library / reading room?! And as a mom of three young boys, she'll also be able to use the space as a retreat away from her hectic day-to-day.
As with all projects, I developed three different design concepts, which the homeowner is now reviewing and refining before sharing with their contractor. Interested in embarking on your own home library & reading room design process? Schedule a Meet & Greet with me today, and let's explore how I can help!
